BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary’s authorities imposed a windfall tax on drug producers which shall be primarily based on their web revenues generated in 2022 and 2023, in response to a decree printed late on Friday.
The speed of the tax will increase progressively, and shall be 8% on web revenues exceeding 150 billion forints ($398.36 million). The businesses should pay the brand new windfall tax for 2022 and 2023 each subsequent yr.
