A portray of the Nativity made within the sixteenth century has been saved by the UK authorities as a “Christmas reward for the nation”. The Nativity by Baldassare Tommaso Peruzzi (1481–1536), valued at £277,990, had an export bar positioned on it by the Division for Digital, Tradition, Media and Sport (DCMS) final 12 months.
