(Reuters) – Greater than 100 engineering staff at Balfour Beatty (OTC:) will stage three 48-hour strikes in March over pay disputes, British commerce union RMT stated on Saturday.
The choice comes after the Nationwide Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport staff (RMT) rejected the corporate’s provide to extend pay by 5.5% from April 2022.
“Balfour Beatty is a extremely worthwhile firm and they should use a few of their extra wealth to reward their staff correctly,” RMT Common Secretary Mick Lynch stated.
The strikes will begin at 2200 GMT on Fridays to 0959 GMT on Sundays from March 3 to March 5, March 10 to March 12, and March 17 to March 19.
