SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – A California Tesla (NASDAQ:) proprietor on Friday sued the electrical carmaker in a potential class motion lawsuit accusing it of violating the privateness of consumers.
The lawsuit within the U.S. District Court docket for the Northern District of California got here after Reuters reported on Thursday that teams of Tesla workers privately shared through an inside messaging system typically extremely invasive movies and pictures recorded by clients’ automotive cameras between 2019 and 2022.
The lawsuit, filed by Henry Yeh, a San Francisco resident who owns Tesla’s Mannequin Y, alleges that Tesla workers had been capable of entry the pictures and movies for his or her “tasteless and tortious leisure” and “the humiliation of these surreptitiously recorded.”
