Famed US VC agency Andreessen Horowitz plans to open an workplace in London, it introduced on Monday.
The workplace will likely be arrange by the crypto arm of the large funding agency and led by basic associate Sriram Krishnan.
Andreessen Horowitz may even run its subsequent crypto accelerator programme in London in spring 2024, and says it plans to work carefully with UK universities to assist and develop blockchain expertise.
The transfer comes after “months of constructive conversations” with the UK authorities and regulators, Andreessen Horowitz managing associate Chris Dixon stated in a press release. “We’re thrilled to open our first worldwide workplace in a jurisdiction that welcomes blockchain know-how and is dedicated to making a predictable enterprise atmosphere by pursuing laws that each embrace web3 and defend customers.”
It is a huge win for UK prime minister Rishi Sunak, who needs to make the nation a “tech superpower” — and in addition, it now appears, a “Web3 centre”.
