Conservative minister Maria Caulfield has claimed, incorrectly, that Sir Keir Starmer intends to work “a four-day week” if elected as prime minister on Thursday.
Talking on Sky Information, Caulfield echoed her celebration’s newest assault line by arguing that the Labour chief could be a “part-time prime minister”.
The Tories have seized on feedback by Starmer, who advised Virgin Radio on Monday that he valued “protected time for the children” and that he typically averted working previous 6pm on Fridays to be able to have dinner together with his household.
Starmer has mentioned beforehand that he recurrently enjoys conventional Friday-night dinners together with his spouse’s household, who’re Jewish.
